This company, with two theaters in downtown Toronto, was formed in 1987 by the merger of CentreStage and Toronto Free Theater. Since its inception, the company has received 49 Dora Mavor Moore Awards, Toronto's equivalent of a Tony. Depending on the stage requirements of the production, performances are held at either the Bluma Appel Theater (27 Front St E in the St Lawrence Center for the Arts) or at the Berkeley Street Theater, within the company's complex.
